Young Professionals Golf Clinic

About

The golf clinics are intended to help those new to the game, and for those looking to refresh the basics of golf while learning the fundamentals—the full swing, chipping and putting. Participants will learn what equipment is right for them. A seasoned professional will also teach basic etiquette and the rules of the game.

To increase the pace of transformation in the financial services sector and the broader economy, ABSIP resolved, as part of its Vision 2020, to contribute to the development and mentoring of Students and the Youth. The objective is to increase the pipeline of young Black professionals for the financial services sector and the broader South African economy. To achieve this objective ABSIP established a Bursary Fund in 2012 to help in promoting education through funding and supporting disadvantaged Black students who wish to study towards a degree in the Finance, Economic and Management Sciences faculties. The key criteria for eligibility are that students must demonstrate academic excellence, be financially needy and have a passion to pursue a career in the financial services sector or the broader economy. Since its inception, the ABSIP Bursary Fund has provided financial support to the value of R3,5 million to over 50 students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at universities in South Africa, United States of America and Germany.
