Snowy is an investment professional with over 14 years of experience in financial services, specializing in institutional business development, sales & marketing, employee benefits and investment consulting. Snowy is a Director of Business Development at Royal Investment Managers (RIM). Royal Investment Managers is a black owned and controlled investment holding company that acquires equity stakes in either existing or new asset management firms with a strong and unrelenting focus on transformation (diversity).
Previously, she was Head of Institutional Business at Absa Investments for a period of six years, where she was responsible for client service and leading the business development strategy within the institutional, corporate and wholesale markets for the passive, alternative and active management businesses. She served as an executive of the investment cluster and was a non-executive director of Absa Consulting & Actuaries.
She serves as the Executive Head on the ABSIP National Executive Committee since 2018 with specific oversight over the Women in Focus Portfolio (AWIF)
She started her career at Alexander Forbes Financial Services where she spent five years consulting to boards of retirement funds with respect to risk benefits, investment strategies and pension fund related matters. She worked at STANLIB and Metropolitan Asset Managers where she attained experience in distribution of investment products, marketing and key account management.
She was awarded The Most Influential Woman in the Financial Services Sector by ABSIP in September 2013. She sits on the board of a non-profit organization, Investing in Women Entrepreneurs Global Organization (INWEGO) and is very passionate about the role of women in the economy and the Financial Services sector.
Snowy holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Economic Science majoring in Mathematics & Econometrics (WITS), B.Com Honors (UJ); a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (UFS) and a Management Development Certificate from GIBS. She is currently an MBA candidate at Wits Business School.
