Ntlai is Director and Head: BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) Sector in Client Coverage at Standard Bank Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. Standard Bank (also trading as Stanbic Bank across Africa) is Africa’s largest bank by assets, with presence in 20 countries across the continent, and further representation in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
His team provides comprehensive financial services and banking solutions to emerging and established BEE companies in South Africa across all sectors which the bank focusses on. He was previously a Partner & Director at Deloitte focused on Public Sector consulting solutions.
Ntlai completed a Bachelor’s course in Engineering – BSc (Elec) Engineering – at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and he did his postgraduate course in Industrial Engineering also at Wits. He later completed the (Deloitte) Executive Development Programme at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in 2008.
Ntlai is an active member of ABSIP (Association of Black Securities & Investment Professionals), a body dedicated to the advance of black professional and commercial interests in the financial services industry in South Africa, and is currently serving an elected term as the Secretary-General of ABSIP. He is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
